Michael Mangan

On Monday we had a visit from Michael Mangan, an Australian musician who travels around New Zealand and Australia sharing his songs about Gods love.
The children sang like little angels, learned a few new moves and had a super time.
We sing many of Michael's songs at St Mary's.

Presenting Poems

This term we are learning a poem to present to our class.  This very old poem was taught to me by my Grandma when I was a girl.  We have spent some time learning the poem, using expression, volume and hand gestures.  Now we are presenting the poem to an audience, our class. The top 5 children will be chosen and on Grandparents day we will have the finals.  I am so impressed with the children, they have done a super job learning the poem and using expression to make it interesting for their audience.  Here are some of your very cool kids....

All Saints and All Souls Liturgy

Today we had a Liturgy to remember those who have died and those who have been given special recognition and named as Saints.  We all wrote the name of a person we love and miss who has died.  These names were put up by the altar as a way of remembering and praying for those who have died.
