Measurement

Today we began our Unit on Measurement.  We will start with weight and today identified some of the language we need to be familiar with.  We talked about heavier than, lighter than, kilograms, grams, pound and ounces and made connections with times we might have heard this language. The kids paired up and went around the room finding things that were heavy and light and we took these photos.

We found that objects could be described as heavy or light depending on what we were comparing them with.  Great maths thinking Room 13.
